Paul Brondi Obituary

Paul V. Brondi, 63, of Cicero, passed away October 3, 2019. He was born in Teaneck, NJ in 1956 and moved to Cicero in 1970.  A graduate of Cicero HS, he also attended Syracuse University for several years.  Although Paul worked at many companies, he had two primary employers as a machinist for General Electric and finishing his working career at New Process Gear. At General Electric he worked in both Defense and TV production in Syracuse. Paul was most proud of the work he did producing General Electric Steam Turbines in Schenectady, NY working among highly skilled world class machinists.  He was a proud member of IUE union (General Electric) and UAW (New Process Gear).

Paul was fond of rock music, Fords, his Boston Whaler boat and his beloved pet cats.  He enjoyed the outdoors participating in boating, fishing and hunting before his health challenges limited such opportunities. He was a fun and likable person which was evidenced by the many friends he attracted.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Virginia Brondi. He is survived by his longtime Girlfriend, Susan Gelling of Clay; his brother, Robert E. (Cherie) Brondi of Ballston Lake, NY and his nieces Heather Brondi Marx (Rob) and Maura Brondi Jordan (Charlie) and nephew Sean (Nicolle) Brondi.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY
