Barbara Kelley Obituary

Barbara (Flynn) Kelley, 91, passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Syracuse to Francis and Frances (Fortune) Flynn and was a longtime communicant of St. Daniel’s Church.

Raising seven daughters, she was a homemaker for most of her life. Later in life she was employed by the Marriott Hotel until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Kelley; daughter, Bobbi Kelley Waris; son-in-law, Robert Licata; sister Mary Dowd; and brother Robert Flynn. She is survived by daughters Jan (Larry) Casciano, Nancy Licata, Patty (Kevin) Kinsella, Karen (Jim) Serens, Sandy (John) Epolito, Maureen (Rob) Locaputo; son-in-law Bill Waris; brother Tom (Pat) Flynn; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass for friends and family at St. Margaret’s Church on Tuesday Dec 28 at 10 AM. Private burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
