Betty Jane (Hanley) Dykeman

Betty Jane Dykeman, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away April 15, 2022. She was born in Central Square, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother and loved babysitting her grandchildren. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and bowler. She was a member of VFW 9596 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of TOPS worldwide organization.

She was predeceased by her son, David Michael and her siblings, Doris, Ruthie, James, Robert, Chuck and Floyd. She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin (Calvin and Betty would have been celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary in June); her children, Dennis (Michele) of North Syracuse, Robert (Dawn) of Cicero, Terri (Drew) Marks of Mattydale and Penny (Randy) Malone of Syracuse; her grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Michael, Scott, Shawn, Brian, Matt, Stacey, Teagan and Nadia; 4 great grandchildren; her brother, Ralph Hanley of Brewerton; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Monday from 4-6pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse with a funeral service to follow at 6pm. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name can be made to Alzheimer's Association CNY Chapter or Hospice of CNY.
