We are saddened to announce the passing of Brian Doupe, born on January 15, 1972, in Syracuse, New York. Brian passed away on June 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix, NY.
Brian was blessed with a large and loving family. He was married to his high school sweetheart Brenda Doupe for 31 years and together they raised four children, Tyler Doupe (Marisa Doupe), Dylan Doupe (Ashley Doupe), Ryley Doupe (Hailie Doupe), and Samantha Doupe (Drake Glusczyk). He was also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren- Tatum James & Peyton Marie. Pappy enjoyed his grandchildren more than words could express.
Also surviving are his mother Ellen York, brothers Bruce (Shannon) Doupe, Timmy (Liz) Doupe and Mike (Emy) Doupe. Along with his additional family, Scott (Sharon) Trask, Rick (Jamie) Trask, Roxane (Ralph) Bowering and Tonia (Jim) McDonald. Many nieces and nephews.
Brian is predeceased by his father Bruce Doupe and his in-laws Lawrence & Marilyn Trask.
Brian worked as the Owner/Operator of Circle of Images Contracting for over 25 years and was known for his passion for creating and building things. He had a love for woodworking and enjoyed spending time camping at 8th Lake with his family, playing games and creating lasting memories together. Family time was always the most important thing to Brian, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
In addition to his career and hobbies, Brian was also a coach and mentor to many, always willing to offer guidance and support to those around him.
Brian fought to the very end against his battle with Kidney Cancer- Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Brian expressed that he had a purpose and wanted to make more awareness to this cancer as he generously supported St. Jude's & Roswell Park Cancer Institution.
Church services will be held Wednesday June 19, 2024 at 3pm at Pennellville Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54 Pennellville, NY. A Celebration of Life to follow from 4pm-7pm at the Pennellville Fire Department at 3 Godfrey Road, Pennellville, NY.
