Charles Ladd Obituary

Charles A. Ladd, born Feb 4, 1944 in North Syracuse, NY to Bruce Merton and Helen Zophy Ladd. He graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1963 and married his high school sweetheart, Karen Thomas. Together they raised a family.

Chuck retired after 45 years at Crouse Hinds (currently Eaton). He enjoyed sports, especially golf, in his younger years softball and SU Basketball. He and Karen had season tickets for over 35 years, often traveling to follow the team. He also enjoyed traveling, especially out West. Chuck was a devoted husband, dad and proud grandfather.

He is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 56 years, his children and grandchildren, Emily Margiasso and her son, Jason of Selkirk, NY; son, Thomas and his daughter, Zoe of Gainesville, FL and daughter, Tracy Kline, her husband, Jeffrey and sons, Evan and Jonathan Kline of Liverpool. He will be sadly missed by his dog and constant companion, Carmen. There were many beloved dogs over the years.

He was a participant of the Pace of CNY program. Our family will always be grateful for their caring and compassion.

Funeral services for family and close friends is Saturday at 9am at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212  Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery
