Charles B. Greenlese
Obituary
Charles B. Greenlese, of North Syracuse passed away on July 23, 2023 at 100 years old. He worked for General Electric as an Electrical Engineer. He was born in Ohio on February 4, 1923.
He graduated from University of Tennessee. Shortly after graduation he proudly served in WWII. He was a 2nd Lt US Army Air Corps from 1943 - 1945 8th Air Force 4th fighters Group. During the war he flew a P-51 Mustang.
He enjoyed Senior Aerobics at various locations, dabbled with woodworking and was a master puzzler. Mr. Greenlese was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Nelle C. Greenlese and sister, Harriet Little.
He is survived by four children, Gary (Lorraine Bissi), S. Melinda Greenlese (Fred Schmitt), Scott (Linda), Robert (Shannon), four grandchildren, Adam, Jill, Charles, Katherine, sister, Nancy Savage, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday July 27th from 11am-1pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street (Rt. 11), North Syracuse 13212. A funeral service will follow the calling hours and burial directly after at North Syracuse Cemetery.
