Cheryl Kinahan Coleman. Endearlingly called "Shorty" by her husband and some family members, of Cicero, departed this earth to be with the Lord on February 4, 2023. She was born on December 29,1951 to the late Daniel Patrick Kinahan ll and the late Virginia (Austin) Kinahan.
Cheryl grew up in the Eastwood area of Syracuse and was a 1969 Graduate of Henniger High School and studied early childhood development at OCC and took a course in the medical field dealing with disabled children.
Cheryl worked for SDC for many years as well as Head Start. Never being a prent herself, was a maternal figure to many. There wasn’t a child who Cheryl didn’t love and not one who didn’t love her back. Cheryl could always be heard talking proudly about her nieces or nephews on different occasions. She got excited when she discovered there would be a new addition to the family. Cheryl had a passion for reading and loved a good biography. In her younger years she spent her summers on Wellesley Island and spending vacations with the family on 1000 Islands, camping at many campgrounds from the Syracuse area to Canada with her husband.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother's Patrick and Daniel Kinahan lll, brother's in law John Coleman and George Korycinski and nephew/ God Son Adam Ezzo.
She leaves behind the love of her life for 42 years, Gerard Anthony Coleman; sister Sheila Korycinski; brother Michael Kinahan; sister Ann Marie Ezzo (Tony); and many nieces and nephews(also great and great great) many of who, were her beloved god children.
