Cindy L. (Herzog) Shanahan

Cindy L. Shanahan, 63, of Fulton, passed away at home on Sunday June 18, 2023

Cindy loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would spend time with them whenever she could.  She enjoyed listening to Elvis and going to watch her favorite Elvis impersonator, Tom Gilbo.  She had a love for baking and crafting and made beautiful card boxes for all occasions.  She had an enormous heart when it came to helping others and went above and beyond to make others happy. 

Cindy was predeceased by her parents, William Herzog Sr. and Elanora J. Herzog; her brother, Raymond L. Herzog Sr.; daughter-in-law, Jessica Finkelstein; and brother-in-law Jeffery Smith.

Surviving are her partner, Harvey Webster Jr. of Fulton; daughter, Marie (Mathew) Gamela of North Syracuse; sons Paul Finkelstein of East Syracuse and Dustin Finkelstein of Fulton; grandchildren, Destiny (Shawn) VanLuven, Eternity, Aryanna and Jazmynn Finkelstein and Adalise and Alexander Gamela; great-grandchildren, Alysia and Derek VanLuven and Jackson Ricci; siblings Elanora (John) Boyke, William (Debbie) Herzog, Marchell Herzog, Debrah (Thomas) Borza, Stephen (Robin) Herzog, Leona (Chris) Barlow and Tammy Smith and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, June 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. followed immediately by a service at the Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212.  Please join the family for a celebration of life following the services from 4 to 8 p.m.  at the VFW post 9596 (6996 E. Taft Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
