Deborah A. Cohen-Berg, 64, of Syracuse, passed away May 24, 2019, at Loretto surrounded by her loving family.  She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse.   She received her RN degree from St. Joseph's College of Nursing. She cared for many patients and their families during the years she was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital and Menorah Park. She is survived by her four children; Christopher Berg (Staci), Gregory Berg (Erin), Andrew Berg (Beth), Rachael Berg (Tom Chapman), and her grandchildren Carson, Parker, Emma, Maxwell, Christopher, Nathan, Skylar, and James. She is also survived by many other family members throughout the Syracuse area. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorretta Cohen and her father,Marvin Cohen.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and baking splendid assortments of cookies and desserts for her family and friends. She was also known for cooking wonderful feasts during the holidays, which will be missed by all.

The Berg family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Loretto, specifically for those who took care of, Debbie directly, for their attentiveness and loving care.  Over the past year, Debbie was supported by many, the family is especially very grateful for the time and commitment, Cheryl Berg and Pat Salin, dedicated to her recovery from a bone marrow transplant.  Debbie enjoyed their company and candor.
