Debra J. Nuzzo, 61, of Manlius, New York, passed away in the early morning on March 24th. Funeral mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square on April 2nd at 1pm, with a reception/visitation for family and friends at the church starting at 2pm after mass concludes.
Debra was born in Trenton, New Jersey to Richard and Jeanne Hart. She went on to attend and graduate from Syracuse University. She would then begin a career in real estate as well as at Red Lobster. After a few years Debbie left the workforce to focus on her family in which she succeeded in every way and more.
Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was the most selfless person there could ever be. She would not hesitate to help anyone in need no matter what or when. Even though our loss is devastating, our loss is God’s gain. God is receiving an angel. There was no one more important in our family and she was the glue that held everyone together, through thick and thin.
Debbie left behind her husband John, parents, Richard and Jeanne, brother, Richard Hart Jr, two sons, Jonathan (Marisa) and David (Chloe), two granddaughters, Amelia and Cecilia, one grandson, Nathaniel and one grandchild to be.
Debbie, lovingly known as Mom and Grandma, was everyone's best friend and everyone's favorite person. She loved to do anything as long as it was with family. She would go out to dinner with John, David and Chloe every Tuesday. She would watch her three grandkids and play with them when Jonathan and Marisa would drop them off. Debbie would have daily phone calls with her mother, Jeanne and her son, David. She always showed everyone how much she loved them even when she disagreed with something. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, always cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, often texting and calling her sons to discuss game stats, wins, losses and changes she would make if she was the coach.
There will never be anyone like Debbie and we all miss her dearly. We are thankful she is in peace and no longer in pain. We love and miss you so much. Rest In Peace you beautiful soul.
