Diane Wiegand Manning

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Diane Wiegand Manning on January 17, 2025. She was born on April 11, 1945 in Syracuse, NY. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert & Martha (Root) Wiegand. She earned her degree at Syracuse University in 1968. Diane leaves behind a legacy of over 50 years of dedicated service to the field of social work. She had a love for reading, gardening, traveling, and collecting art. 

Diane is survived by her loving son Greg Manning and his partner Carrie Hotchkiss, and her only grandchild, Myles, her "pumpkin." 

She also leaves behind her beloved sister Joanne Shaughnessy and her husband Rick, of Cicero. Also a beloved niece and nephew and their families including cherished great-niece Emma Rose, and several cousins and friends who all mourn her passing.

A memorial gathering will be held at Sears Middleton Mathewson funeral home 209 N Main St North Syracuse on January 25, 2025 from 3-5 pm with a Catholic blessing at 3 pm.
