Donald E. Jesmer

Donald E. Jesmer, 87, of North Syracuse, passed away January 7, 2026. He was born in Auburn, NY, May 14, 1938, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Fournier) Jesmer.

He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as a machinist for Young & Franklin for many years before retirement.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Janet Hopkins Jesmer in 2015, his son, Donald Jesmer in 2007 and his daughter, Judy Yafchak in 2023.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (Michael) Cummings of North Syracuse and Sharon (David) Braman of Florida, his son-in-law, Mark Yafchak of Liverpool and seven grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Tuesday January 13th from 4-7pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
