Edna Suzanne Huber, 58, of Fayetteville, NY passed away peacefully from cancer on June 23, 2023. Born on Long Island on July 30, 1964, Edna attended Saint Francis DeSales, Saxton and Patchogue-Medford schools. She was an accomplished ballet dancer and also played field hockey and volleyball. She earned her college degree from SUNY Geneseo. Edna worked at Syracuse University and Barnes and Noble, and as an aide at the Jowonio School and Transitional Living Services. Edna was well-loved. She was radiant, intelligent, joyful, genuine and accepting. She was a lover of books, movies, food, and laughing.
Edna spent the last part of her life recovering from a previous bout of cancer, never asking “Why me?” Her spiritual life was very important to her and a great source of solace and meaning. A prayer she said many times is “Lord Jesus Christ shed your grace on me”. We truly believe He has.
Edna is predeceased by her father, John Andrew Huber. She is survived by her mother, Sabra Boughton; her sister, Sabra Huber; her partner, Bob Attridge; and her beloved dog and cuddling companion, Buddy; all of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her many cousins and friends. The family would especially like to thank her friends from Patchogue-Medford High for their love and support.
Per Edna’s wishes, there will be no service. Tax-deductible donations in her memory may be made to Stillpoint Silent Retreats, 117 Walnut Hill Rd, Derry, NH 03038 or a charity of your choice.
