Elaine P Becker, 93, of North Syracuse passed away on January 4,2026

Elaine is predeceased by her parents Alfred Papenfus Sr, Emma Schlie and her Brother Donald Papenfus as well as her boyfriend of 30 years Carl Harvard. 

She is survived by her Brother Alfred Papenfus Jr along with many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews as well as many friends that she considered family.

Elaine was a graduate of North Syracuse High School. She was a dedicated employee of Davis Ulmer and pt at Hinderwadels of North Syracuse. 

Elaine enjoyed many outdoor activities like bike riding and rollerblading. She owned a log cabin at Kasoag Lake in the Tug Hill Region that she helped build where she enjoyed snowmobiling, snowshoeing, canoeing and hiking in the woods.

Elaine was a good friend to many and cared deeply for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Calling hours are Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 11am-12:45pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse NY with a funeral service at 12:45. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
