Evelyn Minsterman Obituary

Evelyn Minsterman 98, of Cicero, NY, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of February 1st, 2022, just 5 days before her 99thbirthday. Her fiercely independent spirit undoubtedly contributed to her longevity. Evie’s bright smile, kind words, and mischievous personality brought joy to so many people. She loved her family, her friends, and her lake. She even caught what was at the time (maybe still?) a record-sized bass right off the dock.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Minsterman and her son David A. Minsterman. She leaves behind a sister Nan Rodabaugh, daughter-in-law Jean Kitchner, four grandsons David J. (Tracy) Minsterman, Christopher (Nicole) Minsterman, Timothy (Mandy) Minsterman, and Parry (Kristie) Kitchner, and five great-grandchildren Jana, Nolan, Evan, Giada, and Lucio.

There are so many whose lives she touched and who, in turn, touched hers…from her wonderful neighborhood friends to her co-workers at General Electric, to her doctors, and even just random people she may have bumped into on the street...all received an impish grin and a kind word. There will be a memorial mass at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero later this Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oneida Lake Association (oneidalakeassociation.org).
