Frances B. (Brownell) Haskins
Obituary
Frances B. Haskins, of North Syracuse, passed away December 16th at St. Joseph's Hospital. She joins her husband of 63 years, Clayton, daughter, Sharon and son in law, Thomas Forest.
Fran, in her 100+ years, had been fortunate to travel extensively, have a loving family and a rewarding career as a teacher for 30 years. In 1974 she was honored to be chosen "Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America".
She leaves behind a daughter, Karen Forest, son, Wayne (Nancy) Haskins, one sister, one niece and four nephews.
Fran and Clayton were not only travelers but were active in their church and volunteered in the community. Her family would like to thank all the health care workers at St. Joseph's Hospital for their caring and compassion. Thank you also to her friends and staff at Parkrose Senior Community who made her life there so enjoyable.
At Fran's request, there will be no calling hours or service. A donation in her name can be made to American Cancer Society.
