On March 2, 2024, the world said goodbye to a beloved soul, Gladys Williams, who entered this world in Jacksonville, FL, to her adoring parents, Emma Williams and her father James Dawson.
Gladys's journey through life was marked by resilience, kindness, and an unwavering faith in God. Following her family's relocation to Syracuse, she embarked on a path of learning, her thirst for knowledge leading her to pursue higher education at Bryant and Stratton University, where she earned a degree.
However, Gladys's greatest accomplishment lay in her steadfast devotion to her faith. She was a pillar of her community, her spirituality guiding her every action. As a member of Syracuse Alliance Church, Gladys's unwavering commitment to Christ touched the lives of many, offering solace, support, and love to all who crossed her path.
Beyond her spiritual endeavors, Gladys was a beacon of light in her personal relationships. In moments of leisure, she found joy in the company of her cherished family and friends, her warm presence filling any room with laughter and love.
Gladys leaves behind a legacy that will endure through the ages. She is survived by her loving children, Frederick Cross and Earl Williams, whose lives she enriched beyond measure. We also honor the memory of her late daughter, Ida Lee. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of siblings, grandchildren, and a multitude of cherished loved ones, each carrying a piece of her spirit within their hearts.
As we bid farewell to Gladys Williams, we find solace in knowing that her kindness, her wisdom, and her unwavering faith will continue to inspire us all. Though she may be gone from our sight, her memory will forever shine brightly, a beacon of hope and love in our lives. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
