Harriet Hannon

It is with much love and profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Harriet Hannon, of Syracuse NY at the age of 91.

Harriet was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 13, 1934. She resided on the lower East Side until she met the love of her life John while vacationing in Florida in 1952. They married and moved to Syracuse where they raised three children.

Harriet spent most of her career at The Syracuse Post Standard where she retired in 1995. She was most happy keeping busy and enjoying life with her passions and activities.
She liked drawing and painting, playing bingo, traveling, appreciating all things theater, especially Broadway plays and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years John, her children Julie Purcell, Linda Hannon and Richard Hannon. Grandsons Collin Purcell, Dylan Hannon, Logan Hannon and Landon Hannon.
Brothers Stuart (Sandy) Rabeck and Warren (Susan) Rabeck and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends Sunday March 8 from 12-2 at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home 209 N Main Street North Syracuse NY 13212.
