James Frank Manino

James Frank Manino (1948-2025)

James Manino, 77, of Cicero, New York, died peacefully November 18, 2025.

He was born in Syracuse in 1948 to the late Joseph and Rose (Locastro) Manino and loved to play baseball as a kid. James attended Henninger High School before receiving a Bachelor of Science from SUNY College at Brockport. A dedicated and hardworking salesman for years, James was reliable and had a natural gift for conversation. Yet those who knew him best understood that his greatest passion was history. James was a true history buff and loved reminding us not just why it happened but why it mattered.

James was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Manino and sister Connie Piraino.

Survivors: His daughter Jennifer Manino-Larrea (Guillermo Larrea) of Saratoga, his son James R. Manino of N. Syracuse; 5 grandchildren, 2 nephews, 1 niece and many cousins.
