Janice M. (Fragola) Rieth

Janice M. Rieth, age 73 of N. Syracuse went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 18, surrounded by her children and husband. 
Survived by her husband Robert B. Rieth and her two sons Michael R. Rieth ( Chrissy Giordano ) and Jonathan D. Rieth ( Hot Daniel ), her sister Joy Fragola and brother Tom “NiNi” Fragola (Karen Fragola). She has 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Predeceased by her parents Dominick and Cora Fragola, her brother Mike Fragola and father and mother in-law Paul and Catherine Rieth. 

Her life was about serving the Lord. The Lord led her to what would become her life’s work, Crown of Life - Jann M. Rieth Ministries. Her ministry was acquiring unwanted books, she went through each book herself, reconditioning them and making sure they were appropriate for children. She donated the books to schools, children in need and anyone that simply asked for one. In addition to her ministry, she was known for her strength of Faith and for sharing scripture to both family and strangers. She was selfless in all aspects of her life, always putting others first. She was creative, a talented artist, loved playing the guitar, a poet, a singer, and most of all loved her family, she also loved a good garage sale. She loved life and rarely took things to seriously, she was known for saying “laughter is the best medicine for the soul”.  She was always there for a word of wisdom, and a voice of reason. Jann would answer her phone day or night, offing prayer and sharing Gods word, or to just listen. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Discovering the Jewish Jesus, Tunnels to Towers - Stephen Siller Foundation or the Local food pantry. ​“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Calling hours are Wednesday Dec 22nd from 4-630pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse with a funeral service to follow at 630pm.
