Jean Leonard Krause

Jean Leonard Krause, 87, born on 12-16-1938 passed away on 4-6-2026 after a long illness. Jean was a Vietnam Veteran of the navy for 4 years and the Coast Guard for 16 years. Jeans most memorable moments were being aboard the OJIBWA Coast Guard Cutter and being photographed with President Johnson and Governor Rockefeller. Jean's hobbies include dancing, playing pool, hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife Carol. Jean is survived by his six daughters, Sherry Krause, Laurie Krause, Carol Kaestle, Mary Lathrop, Michelle Gratton, and Jean Sojdak. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, fourteen greatgrandchildren, a brother Bob Krause, and two sisters Shirley and Genevieve.

Burial will be held on July 3rd, 2026, at 11:00am, at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay, NY. A celebration of life will follow the burial.
