Joanne M. (LaGrange) LaFirst

Joanne M. (LaGrange) LaFirst, 68, of North Syracuse, passed away on May 7, 2021. She was born in Syracuse and retired after 25 years with Wegmans. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Rose LaGrange, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Leonard "Butch" LaFirst, Sr.; her children, William LaFirst, Christopher (Beth) LaFirst both of N. Syracuse, Susan (Bill) Robinson of Cicero, Thomas (Sarah) LaFirst of Syracuse, Dawn (Matt) Tarbell of N. Syracuse, and Leonard (Clarissa) LaFirst, Jr. of Florida; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, John LaGrange, Mary Suchewski, Jimmy LaGrange, Rosella LaGrange, Patti Anderson, and Joe LaGrange.

Joanne will be remembered for the unlimited love and support for her family, and her excitement for travelling anywhere that her children and grandchildren took her. In spite of her illness, she was always a delight to be around and never let anything get in her way of having a good time. She had a wonderful sense of humor and upbeat attitude no matter the time of day, and was always there to help everyone that was in need before herself. She will be deeply missed by all.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
