Joyce (Newman) Parente

Joyce (Newman) Parente, 86, passed away February 23, 2020.  She is survived by her four children, Suzanne (Neal) Smith, Cindy (David) Reibert, Richard (Robin) Parente, and Phillip Parente as well as her  grandchildren great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Joyce was born In Fabius NY where she enjoyed childhood with her parents, grandparents and  cousins. After graduating from Fabius High she moved to Syracuse to attend business school  where she met her future husband, Leo.  They married in 1952 then settled in North Syracuse to raise their family. 

Joyce retired from Nationwide Insurance,  however,  she always said the best job she ever had was being a mother. Joyce loved to be with family but also enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time at their home in Florida and their camp in Pulaski.  She will be deeply missed by many but none more so  than her children. 

Funeral services are Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at  2 pm at  Sears-Middleton-Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St, North Syracuse, NY. Calling hours are from 12-2 prior to the service.  A private spring burial service is planned. Leave condolences for the family on the Tribute Wall
