Julia H. (Hendrix) Griffith

Julia Hendrix Griffith, 92 of Cicero, devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on 08/06/25. A 61-year resident of Cicero, she was born in Phoenix, Maryland.

She graduated from Sparks High School where she met and later married her high school sweetheart Robert. Julia's career began with nursing as an LPN then a stay at home mom raising her three children. Later she worked at Consumer Credit Counseling and retired from Cannon Pools in 1990 after 15 years as receptionist.

She was an active member of the Cicero United Methodist Church where she began the cookies for college students program and also served on various committees. Julia loved to read and was thrilled to share books, poems and interesting articles with others. She collected books, cookie cutters, lady bug and hummingbird trinkets. Through the years she also enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts. She loved her family and always enjoyed spending time them.

She is survived by; two sons, Robert Griffith Jr., Cicero, John Griffith and wife Lori, Liverpool; one daughter Julie Krupke and husband William, Liverpool; five grandchildren Emily Allen (John), Troy Griffith, Paige Cuskey (Sean), Eric Krupke, Conor Krupke; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert Griffith.

The family would like to thank her aides Cindy, Diana and Donna and Hospice of CNY for their dedication and loving care.

Calling hours be held Saturday 08/09/25 from 12:00-2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Cicero United Methodist Church 8416 Brewerton Rd., Cicero, NY. 

Graveside services will be held following the funeral at Pine Plains Cemetery, 8686 Henry Clay Blvd. Clay, NY. 

Expressions of sympathy in Julia's memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of Cicero United Methodist Church or Hospice of Central New York.
