Kathy Goonan, 69, of Liverpool, NY passed away April 4, 2025. Kathy was born in Poughkeepsie, NY where she attended Arlington High School and Marist College. At Marist, she met the love of her life, Bill, and the two were married on April 22, 1984. Kathy shared her love of the natural world as a high school biology teacher and, later in life, as the Nature Director at Sabattis Scout Reservation in the Adirondacks. She went on to work for Solvay Bank until her retirement in March 2024.

Kathy was an avid reader, and most recently enjoyed any outing with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Helen Miller.

She is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Kelly (Will Beuttell), her sons Colin and Chris (Caroline Webster), and her
three grandchildren Gwendolyn, Penelope, and Elliot.

Friends are invited to celebrate Kathy's life at Beaver Lake Nature Center on May 24th from 3pm to 5pm. At her request, please enjoy a "Walk About" in one of her favorite places. She would suggest the Bog Trail.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Upstate Foundation c/o The Pancreatic Cancer Fund.
