Larry Bailey

Larry Bailey, 74, of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 17, 1951, in Virginia. Larry was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and a man known for his bright personality and sense of humor. He loved to joke and tell stories, bringing laughter to those around him-even in his most difficult moments.

Larry found joy in music, cooking, playing card games, and spending time with family. He was a kind and giving person who would help anyone in need without hesitation.

He is survived by his children, His son Shon Todd and his daughters; Shameeka Bailey, Lori Warner, and Keri Warner his beloved granddaughter, Naja'Lai Jenkins; and Barbara VanNess, with whom he shared a close bond along with many other loving relatives.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A calling hour will be held on Friday March 27th from 11:00am-12:00pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street North Syracuse, NY 13212. Burial will immediately follow in White Chapel Memory Garden in Dewitt.
