Leilani Sue Sevier

Leilani Sue Sevier, of Brewerton, NY, passed away on July 18th, 2024, after a month-long illness, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY, with her daughter, Susan, at her side. "Lani" was born March 19th, 1944, to Burton and Marion [Beard] Knickerbocker of Syracuse.  She graduated  from Syracuse Central Technical High School in 1961, and married Hedley Best Sevier on July 11th, 1964. They moved from Lafayette to Pompey in 1966. In 1985, they moved to Parish. Lani moved to Brewerton in 2004. Lani worked at Agway for over twenty years, then worked for Wegman's for fifteen years before retiring.  Lelani is survived by her brother, Richard Knickerbocker (Virginia) of Clay, NY, her daughter Susan Ellis (David) of Hammond, NY, and several nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lani was predeceased by her husband, Hedley, on July 22nd, 1990, daughter Sandra Lea, May 10th, 1971, and daughter Sherry Lynn Sevier Rogers, July 27th, 2023. There will be no calling hours or funeral. There will be a small graveside celebration of life at Onondaga Valley Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to a favorite charity in Leilani's memory.
