Margaret Freund Obituary

Margaret A. (Miller) Freund, 85, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2020. She was born in Skaneateles Falls, NY. Margaret worked as a secretary for the North Syracuse School District, Diefendorf Gear Corp and Janus Park.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Anna Miller, 6 siblings, her husband of 64 years (Ernest), her daughter-in-law, Linda and grandson, Brian. She is survived by her loving children, Gretchen (Dan) Kelly of Syracuse, Stephen Freund and Thomas (Rosie) Freund both of Canastota; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to all of the wonderful nurses and nurses aides from Hospice of CNY who cared for her over the last several months.

Funeral services are Thursday, December 31st and 11am at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. A Calling hour will be held from 10-11am at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY or ARC of Onondaga.
