Mary "Susan" Snyder

Mary “Susan” Snyder, 80, of Bridgeport, NY passed away on September 11, 2022 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY. “Sue” was born in 1942 in Cortland, NY and was a 1959 graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

Sue moved to Syracuse, NY where she retired from Farmer’s and Trader’s Life Insurance Company after more than 39 years. Sue enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, and golfing. She was a member of Wa-Noa Golf Course and won the Women’s Member Quest Tournament in 1976.

Sue moved to Bridgeport, NY in 1974 and is a member and communicant of St. Francis of Assisi parish. Sue is predeceased by her parents Gilbert and Marion Snyder and her four brothers, G. William, Thomas, James and John R. Snyder.

Susan is survived by her partner of 49 years Nancy Shaver(son David M. Shaver and wife Jane) and sister-in-law Doris Snyder, 6 nephews, 5 nieces, several G. nephews and G. nieces.

Per Susan’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A service and burial will be in the spring.
