Michael A. Zelesnik, 60, of Mattydale, passed away on October 15th at home unexpectedly. He was born in Syracuse to Beverly A. (Stone) Coville and J. Barry Zelesnik. Michael was an Army veteran and after leaving the service went to work for Williams Grocery in the bakery department before going to work for Midstate Industrial Supply for 25yrs. He then went on to start another career in truck driving. Michael’s passions were hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors, whether camping or boating, he was in his element.
He is survived by a son, John Zelesnik of Mexico NY and daughter, Jessica Drake of NC, along with sisters, Dawn (Norm)Bullett of FL and Stacie (Michael) Gaido of IL and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his longtime friend and companion, Jackie Scrimale.
Michael was brought back to his property in Canastota where he enjoyed the beauty of the view and land. A special thank you to Jackie and Dana for all their love and support through this difficult time. We would like to also thank Michael Nichols for the memories that made us all smile.
