Orise L. (Michaud) Dobkowski

Orise L. Dobkowski, 93, of North Syracuse passed away on April 6, 2021 at Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. She had been fighting heart complications after breaking her hip in August, 2020. Her family spent all the time allowed visiting with her at Bishop.

Orise was born in Madawaska, Maine and moved with her family to Syracuse in the 1940s. She worked for George Block Furriers and General Electric before becoming a full time loving wife, mother and grandmother. Orise was predeceased by her husband, Chester, her son, David, her bother, Roger Michaud and her brother, Valmont Michaud. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Dobkowski of Cicero, son, Tom (Lynda) Dobkowski of Liverpool, daughter, Cheryl Clarke of Allentown, PA and daughter, Karen Dodge of Brewerton; her sister, Barbara Janusz of Hope Idaho. She is also survived by her adorablegrandchildren, Leah, Sarah, Kenny, Kevin, Korey, Daniel and Kaitlyn and her equally adorable great grandchildren, Sadie, Wyatt, Khloe, Claire, Kole, Julian, Abagail and Emmett.

Orise absolutely loved playing cards any time of the day with her family. She enjoyed touring the United States with her husband, Chet and watching the activities of her grandchildren brought her endless hours of great joy. Orise also enjoyed bowling and golf. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility (Terry, Cornelia, Grace, Sarah and Alyssa) for their kindness and attention to our beloved Mother and Grandmother.

A private memorial services will be held at the graveside at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay for the immediate family.  Donations in Orise's memory may be made to the Salvation Army, one of her favorite charities.
