Raphael A. Matteo, Jr.

Raphael A. Matteo, Jr, 62, of Syracuse, NY, died September 11, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Ray was born January 18, 1959 in Mount Vernon, NY.  He graduated from Tuckahoe High School in Tuckahoe, NY in 1977.

Ray is survived by his six siblings – Cathy Mauritz, Tom Matteo, Patty Matteo, Larry Matteo, Mary Alice Leclair, and John Matteo.  Known for routine, repeated jokes – a trait inherited from his father, Raphael Matteo, Sr. – Ray took good care of our mother, Alice Knuth Matteo, in the last decade of her life in North Syracuse, NY.  For that we are forever grateful.
