Richard "Eddie" David

Richard “Eddie” David 91 of Constantia, NY passed away March 8, 2022 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse with his wife Jeanine by his side. Eddie was devoted to his family. A proud veteran, he served with the Marines from 1951-1953. He retired from General Super Plating in E. Syracuse, NY as “Top Chemist” after 44 years. He spent his retirement doing what he loved most. Spending time with his family and friends.

He was an avid gardener growing the best tomatoes. He gave them to everyone. He also grew large pumpkins, one weighing nearly 400 pounds. He also made excellent hard cider and shared it with anyone that wanted it. He loved playing horseshoes and playing pitch big time. In earlier days, he roller skated with his wife. They were great skaters.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Jeanine Goldthwait David, for 53 years. Children Mary (Peter) VanBuskirk, Harry (Anna) James, Debra (Roger) Herzog, Jesse James, Michele Lovins, Michael James, Edward James, George James, Jeanine Gates, Richard James, and Herbie (Christine) David as well as 55 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many wonderful friends. He will be missed by all.

There will be no funeral services at this time as per Eddie’s wishes. There will be a celebration of his life on May 21, 2022 which will have been his 92nd birthday at his Constantia home. All family and friends are invited.
