Robert Coughlin Obituary

Robert E. Coughlin, 87, of Clay, New York, passed away on October 16th.  He was born in Syracuse, New York on September 24, 1935 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. 

He retired from Eaton Corporation (formerly Crouse Hinds Company) where he worked for 50 years making and inspecting electrical and instrumentation products.  He lived on Horseshoe Island in Clay, NY for most of his life in the house he built with his wife, Joanne, and enjoyed gardening, being on the water, but most of all spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joanne Coughlin, his children Robert Jr. of Davidson, North Carolina and Scott of Scarsdale, New York, daughter-in-laws Jill and Lilly, and his six grandchildren Breanna, Jameson, Braeden, Jolie, Caroline and Dylan. 

Calling hours are Saturday, 10/22/2022, from 10 AM – 12 PM at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse.  Burial will be immediately afterwards at the North Syracuse Cemetery at 555 S Bay Rd, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
