Susan M. Peck of Syracuse, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 22nd after a short illness. Susan (Sue to her friends) was born in Hackensack, NJ, grew up in Richmond, VA, and lived in Syracuse for 47 years. Sue worked at Syracuse University as an admin in various departments, but spent the bulk of her employment there in Student Services for the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Sue enjoyed painting, drawing, wintering in Florida with her husband Bill, and the exploits of her grandkittens and her beloved cats Bob and Mr. Silky. Sue was predeceased by her mother and father, Madeline and Junior Aslet, her sister Patricia Griffin, and her brothers, Richard C. Aslet and Alfred Aslet. Sue is survived by her “main squeeze” William (Bill) Peck, her daughter Kelly Peck Apostol (Ken), her nieces Susan Laws (Steve) and Nicole Taylor (also Steve), and many grandnieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be planned for later this spring. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice, especially if it annoys the powers that be. Sue would love that.
