Born in North Syracuse, Suzanne was the daughter of Dr. Francis and Mrs. Genevieve Lonergan, the youngest of five siblings. She graduated from North Syracuse High School, achieving awards for artistic excellence.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Mark Fries; her sons, Eric (Jami) and Ethan (Konnie); grandchildren, Liam, Nathan, and Phoenix, Anthony, Vie, Mark and Ava; sisters and sister-in-law, Patricia Nicholson, Christine Nazario and Patricia Lonergan; nephews and nieces and their spouses, Luke, Paul, and George Lonergan, Bryan Nicholson, Joseph Stahlecker, Anne Nicholson and Sarah Letos; along with aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas and Lawrence Lonergan; and brothers-in-law, Donald Nicholson and Jose Nazario.
Sue’s life was defined by her resilience and determination. She was known for her creativity, humor and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Sue could fix anything. Her flowers and vegetables were amazing. Her garden was a showplace where she found peace amid the beauty of nature.
