Thelma June Clark Forget, 90, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Born in Constable, NY, she married her childhood sweetheart in Huntingdon, Québec, moved to Syracuse, NY in 1955, and ran her own business as a cosmetologist in Liverpool, NY. June was a communicant and active member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Liverpool, NY. Anyone who knew June knew her as a kind, loving role model, who welcomed all to her table with a pot of tea, a hearty meal and plenty of conversation.
June was admitted to St. Joseph's hospital, and passed away peacefully a few days later surrounded by her loving family.
June was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Melvin Forget; brothers Raymond Clark and Lyle Curry; and her sisters Anne Baker and Irene Bouthillier. She is survived by her daughter, Darlyn Frass of Liverpool, NY; son, Craig Forgette of Buffalo, NY; six grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews in Canada.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Athelstan Presbyterian Cemetery in Québec, followed by a ceremony of remembrance and refreshments at the Canadian Legion Hall at 8 Chem. Fairview, Huntingdon, QC J0S 1H0, Canada.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in June's memory can be made to the Clay Historical Association and sent to 4939 Route 31, Clay, NY 13041.
