Westcoe W. Williams Jr., aged 66, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness.
Westcoe was born on January 19, 1958, in Harlem, NY, to Westcoe Williams Sr. and Carmen Williams. He relocated to Syracuse in the early 1990s in pursuit of a better life. Though Westcoe also briefly resided in Utica, NY, he made Syracuse his permanent home. With a career primarily in the culinary field, he also found joy in serving his community and was involved with various organizations, including Peace Inc. and local food cupboards.
Westcoe embraced life's simple pleasures, finding happiness in cooking, spending quality time with loved ones, indulging in a variety of movies, and immersing himself in music. He also had a passion for building model cars and proudly amassed a collection, earning himself the nickname "Chevy". A dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills, he relished watching football games and proudly identified as a member of the "Bills Mafia." Westcoe was known for his sociable nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, often extending his circle to include them as "family".
Westcoe is preceded in death by his parents, Westcoe Williams Sr. and Carmen Williams, his brother Eric Williams, and his eldest son, Westcoe "Manzie" Williams III. He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving partner, Roxanne Johnson; his children, Antwan Williams, Dorell Lucas, Carol Williams, and Ericka Williams; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his estranged wife, Yolanda Woodley; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
Westcoe will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though his time with us was cut short, his essence will forever remain in our hearts. May he find eternal peace and rest in paradise until we reunite in Heaven.
