William F. Elia

William F. Elia, 66 of Canastota passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2020.  He was born December 10, 1953 in Syracuse, NY, son of Jerry and Elizabeth Elia. William proudly served in the US Army with the 1st Armored Division. He retired from James Square Health and Rehab of Syracuse, NY. 

William is survived by his soulmate Chris Seitz, his two sons John (Katie) Elia and Jeffrey Elia; five daughters, Angela (Carl) Elia, Kari (Trey) Elia, Patience Seitz, Sue Stratton, and Patricia Austin; two brothers Jerry (Lynn) Elia and Peter (Lori) Elia; three sisters Mary (Dennis) Elia, Pamela (Richard) Elia-Romano, and Rose Elia Hayes; and 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Jerry and Elizabeth Elia; three brothers John, Michael, and Christopher Elia; and a granddaughter Paige Cosimeno. Bill was a collector of many things and could fix anything. He enjoyed classic cars, fishing, and camping with his family. He was always there whenever you needed him and will be greatly missed. 

 Friends may call on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY.
